Pick the term you like: "supporters", "apologists", whatever, but there are plenty of consequence in the GOP who fit the bill. First and foremost, Tucker Carlson has an enormous audience within the GOP electorate and said he doesn't care what happens in Ukraine in the link below. He also said Russia and Putin were winning in August, which was just demonstrably untrue then and got even less true lately. Why would he make such a strange claim? Ted Cruz makes a cameo there too where he compares the Russian military favorably to our "woke" military. Trump of course famously won't say a negative thing about Putin no matter the situation. Rand Paul has taken legislative steps that single-handedly slowed our ability to help Ukraine and has also said Ukraine is part of Russia. Those all seem like the actions of people who aren't exactly pro-Ukraine in the Putin invasion of Ukraine.
