NY'ers are taking it back to the 90s when the City had 12 straight years w R mayors. The citizens of NY don't like to feel unsafe - hasn't been an issue for a while, but it is again now. People aren't getting killed like it's 1991, but crime is definitely on the rise.

The Ds may get hammered in the Empire State. We will see what happens. I've been saying for a while that the party *will do better* without Trump and the Trumpists. This takes us back to Rudy (before he went crazy) and Bloomberg. This is an issue that works for the GOP, and the Ds have totally underestimated how fed up people are (and it doesn't matter if we're not back at 90s level violence).

Unfortunately, the reverse isn't true. Rural America is dying a slow death... No economic opportunity, mass depression and high suicide rates, insane opiod addiction. But they keep voting for the people Fox News tells them to vote for.
