It was apparently the case in this school, and the case across many schools


where discipline is put aside by administration that is under pressure to "make attendance numbers" (shuffle problem kids to a different school, recycle them back into school, downplay or ignore entirely discipline issues, refuse to suspend kids, etc.). Stoneman-Douglas had issues with that too iirc.

Don't have time to look for it right now, but AP actually did a pretty good piece on this problem at this school (and NNPS in general) last week talking about "Angry parents" or "parents angered" (if you want to search).

You don't have to talk to many teachers to realize the lack of discipline, even for serious problem kids, has been a problem for a while. None of them are surprised this happened.
