When he was in office, he didn't have the power to terminate the


constitution. Just because the president doesn't have power to do something, doesn't make it OK for him to call for it. If a president called for slavery to be reinstated, would that be OK? I mean, he doesn't have the power to reinstate slavery. Also, when he was in power, he didn't need to call for actions to allow him to stay in power. He was already in power. It was only after he lost that power that he called for the constitution to be terminated (along with calling for his VP to violate the constitution)

It's a simple question. Do you think it is OK for a former president and leading candidate for president to call for the constitution be terminated in order to remain in power against the will of voters?

If yes, a follow up question. Should we change the oath of office to remove the whole "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution" part?
