Weekend either. I know you can’t acknowledge anything good that ever happens during a dem admin, but the Biden admin assembled a coalition of European and regional players which rendered Iran’s 300 launches impotent, on very short notice. None of those countries were required to do that, or needed Israel’s leave to sit it out if they wanted.

So, you know, just like decent people tend to pay attention to those who’ve come through for them in moments of crisis, Israel was wise to listen to its coalition. Which they clearly appeared to do - I completely disagree with assertions they told us to eff off. At least preliminarily they seem to have struck the right balance between domestic calls to retaliate somehow, and their and their allies’ very strong interest in preventing escalation.

Israel doesn’t want a four front war - they’re feeling the strain in every way from their 6 mths in Gaza. They don’t need anyone’s leave to act. But they do need their allies.
