With three of the star performers filing motions to vacate the speakership


For the egregious sin of allowing a vote of a popular foreign aid bill on the house floor.

Don’t care nearly as much about the individuals who chose to vote against it. I care about a speaker cowed into not even allowing a vote for months, and the threats from the most outspoken axis of evil allies to paralyze the country - again - just for allowing democracy to run.

Kudos to Johnson for bowing to the king in mar a Lago so he received permission to let a vote proceed, as far as it goes. I agree with dems who’d protect him, because we should make sure incentives are consistent with democracy. But the whole episode was just another giant gop shit on it.
