friendly towards Israel. First of all, I don't even know what that means. Second, US policy towards Israel has been remarkably consistent and supportive since the country was founded.

MAGA seems to love Israel, but not Jews. I think that's because of the whacked-out religious beliefs about Armageddon. They were ecstatic about the move of the US embassy to Jerusalem. I also think it's because extremists in the Christian Nationalist groups that support Trump view Jews as conspirators who killed their savior.

There are definitely some people on the left who carry these religious grievances with them, too. Muslim voters in MI might stay home and hand that state to Trump, for example.

But make no mistake. Antisemitism is as American as apple pie. My opinion is that it is embraced much more strongly by those on the right and manifests itself here in this country. I think for those on the left it's more about Israel's policies rather than general religious discrimination at home.
