I was going to have my son max out his student loans


for this very reason… why pay out of his 529 when we can borrow and later have it forgiven? But in looking into it, they do have some pretty tight restrictions around subsidized borrowing based on income, so he won’t qualify for any subsidized loans that could later be forgiven.
