and start addressing them one by one and see if (and where) they come together.

"trump ties to russia" has come to mean everything from his campaign actively aiding the Russians in hacking the election to him being corruptable because the Russians know something about him to him taking steps to advance his business interests in that country.

the first issue for me is the extent of Russian meddling in the election and the impact it had. trump involvement or not. lets answer those questions, then start getting into the how.

if there is probable cause to investigate financial entanglements, start looking at those separately (and see if they come together with the election hacking...).

the point is that there are a number of threads here that we've all boiled down to "trump and the russians". i'd like to see a clear articulation of the problem(s) we're investigating and how the government is going about it (and who is leading the efforts).

there may not be much there at the end of all of this wrt the donald- who knows. but he doesn't do himself any favors acting the way he is; neither are some of the scumbags in congress (nunes and chaffetz come to mind...). who knows- maybe this is part of a smokescreen to cover people like Scott Pruitt, Jeff Sesions and Betsy DeVos to pursue radical agendas in the departments they lead... it has turned into a hell of a distraction, bringing out the worst on both sides.
