I think it's a lot more complicated than that though. I think there are probably a lot of financial connections between Trump and his associates and Russian oligarchs. I'm not really sure that collusion needs to have occurred at all. It's just that so many of them had so many conflicts of interest and owed so many favors that they took policy positions in support of Russia. I doubt they were thinking about winning during that time. The Russians had an interest in seeing their friends/puppets win and global politics thrown into chaos, so they focused their news hacking on things that would support Trump.

The obstruction part is Trump trying to stop the investigation for the same reason he didn't want to provide a full accounting of his financial interests before the election.
