Let me flesh this out a bit.

I've had the feeling the most of the Trumpies have been pretty drunken with power. They rule the world, sitting on top of an adoring, shilling press of Fox News, which has provided them a bubble. I don't think they've begun to realize the jeopardies of our legal system. They've played very loose with the law, testifying about no meetings with Russians, filling out forms omitting meetings with foreign entities. It's all been about solidifying control and advancing Donald Trump.

However, they all have defense lawyers now. Remember, this latest story broke when Jared Kushner filled out his new security form correctly. I have to think that instead of putting his daddy in law's interest first, his lawyer was making damned sure the form was accurate. in other words, there's been a shift. Kushner's lawyer is keeping him out of further trouble. Manafort's lawyer is putting Manafort's interest ahead of Donald Trump. Flynn, the same.

Make no mistake, they are still Trumpies. However, now they are going forward in their selfish interests and self-protection.

Kushner had to know that listing this meeting for the first time after all these months of hiding would divert the focus from himself to Donald Trump, Jr. I doubt he really wanted to throw Junior under the bus (family reunions and all); however, if he needed to throw Junior under the bus to protect himself from lying again on his security request, well, then, bump, bump.
