Like when you mis hear the lyrics to a song

For the last few days I thought one of the chants I heard was "you. will not replace us". I figured the "you" referred to liberals or intellectuals or whatever that wanted to replace Confederates or white guys or whoever as heroes. It doesn't make sense but these guys don't so I figured what the heck. I just heard on the news that they were saying "Jews will not replace us". WTF?! This makes even less sense. Who thinks Jews are replacing what? I don't get it.
