Here's a primer on North Korea

You wrote that diplomacy doesn't work. So what does work? Because Trump's words can only take us down one of two paths:

(1) We attack North Korea Korea and their lunatic dictator attacks South Korea hundreds of thousands of people and used a nuclear bomb on an enemy for the first time since 1945. And North Korea might also attack Guam and densely populated Japan.

(2) We don't attack North Korea and the U.S. loses credibly because Trump's threats and bombastic language lose credibility.

As for "those players supporting them through trade and/or hollow rhetoric need to know it, as well," what exactly do you mean. The only major supporter is China, and that country prefers having an anti-Western regime on its border. Sure, they'd like it for N. Korea to tone it down, but it is in China's interest to preserve North Korea, and the Chinese will not act against their interest.

I'm serious, what course do you prescribe and what outcomes will that course create?
