Doubt the president tweeting what he thinks business owners should do when their employees speak their mind constitutes state action in the sense of the constitution, but any sort of official action by him meant to influence their decisions or penalize them/reward them for acting a certain way likely would.

That said, his tweets sure as shit violate the spirit of the 1A and show he really just does not value free speech. No doubt about that.

On a side note, I honestly don't think Trump has quite yet grasped that he is more than a media personality and has actual responsibilities. He really likes bomb tossing and getting people to talk about him -- to the point where that seems to be all the miserable POS does. He could not be more callous, irresponsible, or make more of a mockery of our nation (especially when you move beyond bullshit about football players kneeling and talk about North Korea or ISIS). I don't think I will ever regain respect for those who voted for him to be in this job. It's unforgiveable, and the people who voted for him should be ashamed of themselves.
