The GOP will recover, as it always has, in the ways that it always had -- hoover up more donations from billionaires, gerrymander and suppress the vote, convince enough people that the "media" is all fake and that only the sacred gospel of Fox News is to be believed, rile up fringe/Trumpleton passions around immigration/ISIS/Death Panels to re-energize the base and regenerate turnout, and make sure their next wacky candidates look more like Neil Gorsuch and less like Roy Moore child molesters.
