Hit the point in life when I couldn't out-exercise a crappy diet. I spent a few years doing stand-up on the local scene - it was fun, but it's a terrible lifestyle. You start having bar appetizers and refillable cokes as your dinner a few nights/week. The weight really snuck up on me. Once I made a few changes, I was losing ~1lb/day.

For folks who are interested, here's what worked for me:
Get protein in early. I settled on Chobani and Muscle Milk. Not perfect, but it's what I would stick to, so it wins. Then I push lunch back as far as I can, like till 2ish. Goal was to feel happy and full and be disinterested in dinner. If I was feeling lazy, I'd get a footlong coldcut combo at Subway, bunch of veggies, no dressing. At this point, I'm still below ~1400 calories, and I'm not hungry. I'd pick at some veggies during dinner. After dinner was a great time for exercise, because it killed my appetite. I'd be thirsty, but not hungry.
