This guy may be very smart - he's certainly articulate - and he may be very qualified for what he does now, but what he does now in no way qualifies him to be a lifetime appointment federal trial court judge. Sure, maybe he can learn on the job, and even actually turn out ok (or maybe not ok, too - who knows?) but would you want to be a litigant in one of his early cases?
Of all the excellent, experienced trial attorneys out there, with views all across the political spectrum, this is the best that the current administration can come up with? We're so screwed.
