It's pertinent when House is trying to suggest Nunes couldn't be bothered
to read it. The agreement only allowed for one person, and they opted for Gowdy, which is understandable given his history as a prosecutor.
As for Gowdy's comment, he's been a staunch defender of Mueller and trusts him to do a fair and honest job (and I agree with him). He said exactly that to Chris Wallace Sunday before the memo was even out. This memo, while tangentially related, doesn't really say anything to discredit Mueller or question his ability to do a fair and honest job.
