We played our worst defensive half of the year, and

We still held them below 50 in regulation. We IMO played our worst offensive game of the year - I noticed very little in the way of movers in the mover-blocker most of the time - and therefore lived or died with the 3 pointer, and bad shooting can be contagious.

And yet, we had every oppty to win. Ty had a good look for 3 at the end of regulation. And if Devon hits all his free throws at the end of OT, which he normally does, we'd still have pulled it out. So it sucks that we threw up a brick against VT of all teams, but there is that old adage about peaking too soon. Sometimes it seems the best March teams sputtered a little during the year.

If we don't play significantly better against Miami, another long night in front of us. But if we have to get some duds out of our system, let's do it now, not a month from now.
