I don't agree with your third paragraph (honestly I think your complaint is with local police), but I agree that I should not accuse you personally of such a thing for disagreeing with me. And yeah, law enforcement botched something with this guy.

I think in any sane world, free of politics, if you are talking about too many gun related deaths, access to guns should be on the table. My frustration comes from the attempt to head off the discussion altogether. It's not that I think there are easy answers.
