It has been rare indeed for people of a particular party to turn on those they put into office. Look no further than the women who rallied around Bill Clinton in the wake of his extracurricular activities. Trump is not much different, though he has neither the nuance, ability or desire to smooth talk. He is a brash in your face do whatever he wants person. What you see is what you get and we got a steaming pile of shit. While he does indeed have his supporters, his support comes mostly from diehard Republicans and moderates who couldn't have fathomed voting for such a flawed candidate in Hillary Clinton. The broken nominating system reared it's ugly head in allowing those two people to head their respective tickets.
