Hillary's loss IMO came down to her incredible, almost magical ability to alienate people, particularly as a candidate, where she is addressing large groups, either from a podium, on TV, whatever. Not to say that there aren't women who fit your description. Probably even some who fit Hill's. I work with four 40ish and under women, three married moms and one single, who will tell you that Hillary just makes their skin crawl. None of them would strike you as having old fashioned ideas about women's roles, or as being intimidated by ambitious women.

Hillary is a dumbass (in this way) and needs to shut up. There is zero point to her statement except that it is guaranteed to alienate even more people. She obviously learned nothing from her "basket of deplorables" stupidity, where she gave a hard shove in Trump's direction to anyone on the fence. Of course she never learns - she isn't willing to admit mistakes in the first place. If she is still harboring any fantasies about running again, god forbid, she just alienated a whole new batch of voters.

I don't think voters will attach her idiocy to dem candidates in November (as long as they don't run around embracing her, which would be moronic), but this is just an extension of her book "What Happened?", as though she was a victim in 2016. Of circumstances beyond her control. This is just another way she was victimized.

She is actually a whole lot like Trump in this way - off the charts narcissism with a victim complex.
