I know you love your polls when they tell you what you like, but what does

that even mean? I don't view the NRA favorably, as I don't for basically any lobbying group, but that doesn't mean they (and other lobbying groups) don't make valid points or espouse some ideas I agree with. Seems all this is measuring is how the NRA is getting portrayed (more frequently and negatively of late) in the media and elsewhere - as the boogeyman.

And why would you look to them or any lobbying group for "common sense"? They're an advocacy group, just like any lobbying group. That's not what they're here to do. I certainly don't look at PETA favorably, nor expect them to offer up "common sense", but that doesn't mean I hate puppies or think we shouldn't spay and neuter our animals in most cases.
