Not that it is germaine to this discussion, but no he was never............

in the Department of Justice. He "worked for" the DOJ in as much as he was appointed by a 3 judge panel, under the auspices of the then AG.

That is as tangential to the discussion as your claim that the FBI should be viewed with suspicion (namely political corruption in this case) even though there is NO history of that, but J Edgar Hoover was a bad guy.

The only relationship or course being the letters FBI..........and not much to base your point on.
