settled the issue on legality. He said that in that very interview (which you also omitted in your depiction) And given he was always pro-choice before (and I believe at his core still is, and is just willing to be dishonest and pay the lip service sadly needed to get through a GOP primary because he has to to stroke his massive ego by being POTUS), I have little reason to believe he will ever make any serious challenge to changing that legality.
But if it were illegal, and it was deemed murder, as in the scenario Mathews set up, I don't see how you can possibly not punish the women as well (btw I don't believe he said "jailing" but that's mostly irrelevant). What would be the point, or threat to pro-choicers, if illegality went unpunished? Again I can't help but wonder if that's the type of toothless illegality you would want to go along with your desired assault weapons ban.
