This is the first Trump nominee that feels kinda/sorta like a hit job to me
First, let me say that I DO NOT think he's qualified for the position. Simply being a doctor does not make you qualified to be in charge of a large health care organization, government or otherwise.
So I DO wish that the opposition would attack his qualifications.
BUT....how come this other stuff didn't matter for Bush the younger and Obama? Hasn't this guy been the White House physician for 10 or more years? Spanning both parties?
I'm conflicted some in that if these allegations are true, and I'm betting some of them are, then yeah, they do provide evidence that he's not right for the job even if he had the other leadership credentials. But being drunk when needed somehow wasn't an issue when he was working for Bush or Obama? Missing painkillers weren't an issue then?
I usually would accuse the Republicans, and their favored media, of greater hypocrisy and/or often just being Anti Obama, or Anti Clinton. This feels like the "Get Trump" faction going over that same line.
