IMO ^^^ this. I think someone at some bank gave him the info.


I believe that one of the MSNBC talking heads was a former Suspicious Activity Report person at a bank and said that the info Avenatti revealed was the kind of info that would be reported in the SAR. The same person probably gave the info (copies of the SARs?) to him and the NYT.
