There is no doubt about it that these email exchanges are "bad optics" and could certainly enhance the suspicions of those who already were prone to a belief in conspiracy.

That said, the Attorney General, the Director of the FBI, the Assistant AG, and key GOP members of both houses of congress, and NOW the Inspector General of the Department of Justice have categorically stated that there was no cabal within the FBI out to get Trump and no political motivation behind the investigation.
