There is nothing wrong policy-wise with reducing legal immigration
Answer this. Is there any part of the country that has both the jobs and the infrastructure to support a large number of new immigrants? Most thriving urban areas are struggling to provide low-income housing, not to mention schools and other infrastructure. Most non-urban areas have flat-lined in terms of opportunities for unskilled workers. So where do you put these people?
