The problem is
Like I said, there are legislative solutions being put forth. The "compromise solution" supposedly will address this separation including funding for housing these families
All of the "compromise" solutions to date have been pissed on by either His Lordship, the troglodytes that make up the socially regressive share of the GOP, or both. Coming up with something that secures Democrat votes without getting Donnie's blessing is a non-starter. Sure as shit the GOP doesn't have two testicles between the lot of them to even dream of overriding a presidential veto.
Edit: The travesty of a vote the other day was nothing more than a ploy by Ryan to make sure that the Democrat supported compromise bill couldn't be forced to a vote. The only options that could have come from that were (a) it passes and dies in the Senate or on Trump's desk (b) it doesn't pass because GOP Congressmen signed on it and then changed their mind. In either case it makes the GOP look bad.
Basically, they've got shit and they know it. [Post edited by Beerman at 06/26/2018 3:08PM]
