OK. But my point being that we implemented pretty meaningful

sanctions on Russia in 2014 in response to their annexation. My understanding is these sanctions are fairly impactful to Russia. If Russia was able to blackmail a US president into doing their bidding, I'd think removal of the 2014 sanctions would be near the top of the list.

No doubt Trump has acted very strange and "suspicious" with respect to Russia/Putin, but I still maintain it's part of his overall noise/confusion/FUD strategy. If concrete evidence of a compromised President Trump eventually comes out... will it floor me? No, but until there's something more than Trump's "normal" odd behavior (not it's not normal behavior for a president but it IS sadly normal for Trump), I'm pretty skeptical of all the outlandish claims and speculation wrt russia.
