Would your first instinct be to push someone to the ground that violently?
I would think not, same goes for 99% of the population. That’s your justification. If someone you have had zero contact with comes charging at you and shoves you to the ground with that much force, you’re going to think this person is going to cause me more harm. I know the guy kinda backs off, but the fear has already been initiated. It was what 2 or 3 seconds? The old guy had made up his mind to shoot him for his own protection.
We all know race will be drawn into this, and the old guy may be a racist asshole. But do you honestly think the young guy does the same thing to an older black man. I don’t even know if the old guy shoots if it’s a white guy that pushes him. Sad.
