It's a bit more complex in this instance. GM is discontinuing six models;
Impala, Cruze, Volt,, Caddy CT6 & XTS & Buick LaCrosse. That production is not being moved; it's gone. Many suppliers produce parts that are dedicated to one specific model; so any such supplier is screwed. Many others produce for a limited number of models. Workers focused on parts for the discontinued models are screwed. Other suppliers htat provide parts for the remaining models may gain if production and sales of the remaining models increases; but I'd say that will amont to very little.
