My post was sort of TIC, but only sort of. We are running massive

deficits right now. We are not paying our bills. Increasing taxes is one lever to increase that. Yes, it has a slight depressive effect, but right now we would impact the deficit beneficially by raising taxes.

The tax cut we just had to benefit largely the very rich, in a period of full employment - at the same time we were increasing defense spending - was completely irresponsible.

So you can keep being happy with a humming economy, which has been juiced by an unnecessary tax cut, but the party is going to end.
