That's kind of analogous to Nancy's approach. Extracting a price from Trump by letting him back himself into a corner (mission accomplished, unless the dems overplay their hand and push more of the public's ire on themselves, which can happen as the misery deepens), and taking him to the cleaners in the negotiation - that's pushing back against the bully without blowing up the entire school.
