How are his speaking fees doing these days? Did you miss the point about

how the Clinton speaking tour is doing?

With enough data points you can plot a pretty nice bell curve on Bill's speaking fees. Don't think you can tie much correlation to his being charismatic or a former POTUS to explain that curve. But you can certainly see a similar bell curve path to Hillary's ability to exert and influence power. To pretend there can't be any possible correlation between that latter one and his speaking fees, that it's just a "strawman", seems, umm, a bit disingenuous.
