smh. the spin here is off the charts.

for the record, I'm not familiar with the proposal in question so can speak to its merits or drawbacks; but this pretty post is a pretty nice example of how completely superficial the dialogue has become. I hope the people on the committee / in the legislature are doing a better job exploring. leaders in this state have gone pretty low in the past on this topic, so it doesn't surprise me that we're seeing it again.
