I don't know where your comment about "paternalism" comes into play here at all. Schultz can run if he wants to, and we are free to throw rotten tomatoes at him. I'd love to hear from him why I should choose a coffee magnate with zero political experience to head the Executive branch of the most powerful country on earth. How about he runs for Congress or governor first so we can see how he'd do. He isn't qualified just because he's a successful businessman. Plus, I agree with WahooMatt. His platform is extremely self-serving. We don't need more of that from someone who is most certainly more capable than Trump and who, as an independent, doesn't have to vet himself at all. He has the cash to buy himself a place on the ballot.
