It's a fair question, albeit seems a bit irrelevant IMO. If a school never
had a school shooting, should we not institute safety precautions and training there? I can completely understand several reasons why you wouldn't want teachers, plain clothes folks, or any untrained civilian not to carry a gun in a school. It defies logic that you would take those thoroughly trained to protect and serve us while carrying guns in their regular course of business, and then not let them carry them when you take on the added expense of putting them in schools. May as well just hire cheaper rent-a-cops at that point.
