Nor was thinking it was funny if your friend did, so that you would happily stand by him for a photo, and then be ok with it being on your individual yearbook page. Later claiming he never saw it, it's not him, etc. (not even before apologizing for it being him) also seems to be quite the stretch he's asking us to believe.

As for Fairfax, don't forget that she first came forward when Fairfax was running and then again just after his election (first to Bobby Scott, then to the WaPo). Both did their part to silence the story (and both should answer for that IMO). Not to mention she hasn't exactly been shy on the details, he admitted it happened but was consensual, and she has no political motive being a hardcore Dem herself. She says she had no idea what happened to him after the '04 convention, and just tried to cope with what she went through, until his name resurfaced for the election. And we've been given no reason to doubt her on any of that to this point.
