Republican attorneys general have sued to get the courts to strike down the entire Affordable Care Act, including protecting those with pre-existing conditions.

Trump's DOJ has made the very rare move of not defending current law in that lawsuit, effectively arguing that the administration/DOJ agrees that the law should be struck down and those protections eliminated.

If the Republican AGs win the lawsuit against the federal government that Trump's federal government administration is trying to lose, protections for those with pre-existing conditions go away, and the GOP has done absolutely nothing to try to pass legislation that would protect them in the case that they win the lawsuit members of their party have brought to eliminate those protections.

Republicans say they want to protect those with pre-existing conditions because they know that is widely popular and supported by the electorate, but their actual actions show they are lying and are instead trying to get rid of those protections and have brought forth no legislation to protect such individuals.
