I did? I guess, in that I understand the lay of the land in media today
Everyone serves an echo chamber, and one way they compete with each other is to see if they can poke holes in the other chamber's reporting. So yeah, like in this case, you can probably count on FOX or the other myriad Breitbart-like members of the rightie media to voice outrage, like Hooda, over failure TO PROPERLY INCLUDE ALL REFERENCE TO ANTIFA or DEAR LORD THEY LEFT OUT THE WORD ASSAULT BEFORE RIFLE. Or in your hypothetical, the NYT or CNN might call out FOX's mention of a shooter as being in the Tea Party but THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO LOOK AT HIS OUTRAGEOUS GRADE SCHOOL RECORD!!
That's the world made by media consumers, so you can't blame the companies themselves for serving the market as they to try to make a buck. The fact that we are even having a discussion suggesting that somehow this incident was misreported by, well, anyone, because this or that minor detail was left out of this MSM article but included in that MSM article - that shows you that we get the media we deserve.
There was nothing at all misleading in either the NYT or WAPO articles - just an endless search for outrage.
