How on Earth did she get into his apt in the first place? Was it unlocked
and she just walked in? As a cop, she doesn't lock her own door, or does, but doesn't immediately alert when her key doesn't turn the lock when she puts it in? Or did she get there, find the door open/ajar, and immediately walked in on the alert/aggressive, but doesn't bother hanging up the phone?
I know, as a rote move, I put the key in my door, and if I put the wrong key in, I know instantly. And if the door is open or already unlocked, I immediately leave rote mode.
I'm sure it was discussed, but I didn't follow the case much beyond the initial story and the latest headlines.
