My argument is that if there was Ukranian collusion, and there's little

doubt there was, that should be investigated and exposed too. If the results end up like Russia, and it's no collusion, no conspiracy, good. And if there's corruption, which again is like water in Ukraine apparently, that too should be investigated, anyone that violated laws should be prosecuted, and mechanisms should be put in place to stop it, especially when it pertains to US citizens.

Trump was investigated for 2+ yrs. While we may have, correctly, described it as a witch hunt doomed to fail, you didn't see any Trump defenders argue that it shouldn't happen. Or that those calling for it should be impeached.
