Furthermore, would the first rape charge even get him on ICE's radar? For
them to issue the detainer to begin with, wouldn't he have to have already been convicted of a serious crime (which wouldn't be the case if the first rape hasn't even been tried) and/or gone through the process and been adjudicated for removal?
And I'm wondering, if instead of it being ICE, it was FL or NY or wherever that has an outstanding warrant out for this guy (be it for a rape charge, fleeing after a conviction or whatever), would OK County's response still be "Not our problem, be on your way young fella. Can we get you a cab?"
But yeah, it's all about painting all illegals with the same broad brush because of this guy's actions. SMDH
