He's wrong.

Trump descended into trouble because his campaign manager would be charged with engaging in a conspiracy against the United States, engaging in a conspiracy to launder money, failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts, acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign principal, making false and misleading statements in documents filed and submitted under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), and making false statements. Pretty much the same for deputy campaign manager Rick Gates. His National Security Council director had lied about his interactions. Throw in contacts between Roger Stone and Wikileaks to distribute stolen emails. Trump brought on the special prosecutor because he tried to influence the FBI director to go easy on Flynn, fired Comey, then bragged to Russian diplomats that "I faced great pressure because of Russia. That's taken off."

Taibbi asks a "what if" these investigations had been done to Obama in 2009, but he should have asked "what if" Obama appointees were, in fact, up to their necks in illegal activities. And unlike Obama, Trump refused to release his tax records and brought in his daughter and son-in-law to the White House without stepping away from business interests.

Trump deserves to be impeached.
