These reflect the goals of Trump's foreign policy
This isn't a glitch. Trump has been blowing up the post-WWII global order since he took office. His tweet yesterday: "Anyone who wants to assist Syria in protecting the Kurds is good with me, whether it is Russia, China, or Napoleon Bonaparte. I hope they all do great, we are 7,000 miles away!"
Trump has made a practice of insulting allies and abrogating treaties, while giving encouragement to North Korea and Russia. The odd exception seems to be erstwhile ally, Saudi Arabia, but there is money to be made by the Trump family there and no pesky democracy in SA to mess things up. Meanwhile, Brexit, backed with Russian interference in the vote, has destabilized GB. What nation would trust us at this point?
He isn't great at articulating a vision of its replacement except maybe Fortress America -- but he can't articulate anything for that matter. [Post edited by DanTheFan at 10/15/2019 10:17AM]
