It's not a problem of guts, it's a problem of voters not being stupid


enough to believe her nonsense. It' *possible* the overall cost of healthcare will go down in a medicare for all scheme. It's certainly debatable, but it's at least possible. However, people aren't stupid and everyone with employer provided coverage knows that their employer is paying a significant portion of their costs. So they don't want worse healthcare* AND higher taxes in the name of universal coverage or a reduction in overall costs when they're not even paying most of the cost in the first place.

*I know this is debatable, though I agree with it, but let's at let's at least accept that it's prevailing public perception.
