I know what you are saying but my silly/naive idealism thinks that


even meaningless investigations are revealed to be just that upon completion. Take Benghazi. Investigated ad nauseam with no meaningful, non-partisan additional findings after the initial report - at least that I can remember.

In the day of "I vote my party" maybe this doesn't matter as much as it once did. But information is always power. Even 60+ votes on repealing ACA was still information. It pointed to the ridiculousness, and ineffectiveness of those involved. So, if things ever turn around and folks start caring about what the clowns/jokers are doing, we will have the information needed to make informed decisions.
