over the world there is a disturbing trend toward the extreme of politics among politically active populations. I think the current generation of politicians themselves are at least 50% just looking out for their own ability to stay in power ... but what they're doing in that pursuit is going to broadly reflect the political movements that put them there. Nearly 50% of Democratic voters have at one point supported either Warren or Sanders--and one of them might still win. Trump WAS elected.
